In his video, Kapur explains: “After working his first and only corporate job, Agarwal created a public-facing brand, a website on the world wide web, and that's how his blog Digital Inspiration was born in 2004. “Amit published his first blog post ever—a review of an HP printer he had recently bought—and suddenly, the article started gaining views.” As his blog's audience grew exponentially, Agarwal started earning through AdSense, forging a strong connection with Google. Kapur continues: “He became an outspoken supporter of AdSense, tweeting about it, writing how-to articles, and even submitting a video for a story contest. Although he didn't win, he received an honorable mention on the official Google Blog.” While working as a software developer, Agarwal pursued side projects, developing plugins and add-ons for various platforms, including Twitter assistants. How does he make his millions? Kapur reveals: “Over the last 20 years, he has developed 13 Google Workspace plugins that have collectively been downloaded over 50 million times.” One of his most well-known creations is Mail Merge, a plugin integrated with Gmail. Agarwal’s admiration for the tech giant even extends to his personal life—he once revealed that he nicknamed his eldest child “Google.” Kapur concludes: “That’s Amit’s story—the man, the myth, the legend. “He did what he loved, surrounded by those who loved him. And there's no better way to end this story than with his own words: ‘In between all the work, few cups of coffee, hush and rush, I still managed to capture a few moments, happy memories.’” Public reaction The YouTube comments were filled with admiration for Agarwal's journey.
